I like to act as though there aren't many things that scare me or make me nervous. But the fact is I definitely have some fears. Yet this Sunday gives me and you the opportunity to eliminate one of those fears. What fear is that? It is the fear of death. You see, this Sunday we're celebrating Easter which commemorates Jesus' victory over death! And through His resurrection we can look forward to a resurrection as well. Because of the resurrection we will be able to say like Paul did in 1 Corinthians 15: 55-56, "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?' The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.'"Come celebrate Jesus' resurrection with me on Sunday.
